Turn Up The Volume
Have you ever felt that you’re living your life like the volume is down? When your mood is low, you aren’t being the positive attraction, and you’re just not good to be around?
On the reverse, you could feel like you’re living life with the volume turned up; I don’t mean being loud and boisterous. I mean really feeling like you’re alive?
When your mood is great, you’re happy, and excited. It doesn’t matter what else is going on, you’re the positive attraction everywhere you go. I call this “Turning Up the Volume.”
Why? Because it is the same feeling I get when I actually “turn up the volume” and listen to music. It creates a highly energized feeling in me that others seem to pick up on.
I like this idea of living my life with the volume turned up because it creates such a vivid image in my mind of who I am being. Remember when you listen to some great music, you crank up the volume, it changes your state. Accessing that feeling came so clear to me when I started to ask myself, “Am I living with my personal volume turned up?” If not, I go right to that feeling and connect. When I do, things seem to flow easily.
How do I automatically “Turn up the volume”?
Three simple steps:
Step 1: Recognize that I am not
Step 2: I have a clear image of my identity with the volume turned up
Step 3: I imagine how that identity would feel and go there
For example, I resonate with Johnny Depp’s, Capt Jack Sparrow, I think how fantastic it would be to be him. I begin to act boldly, with charm, and confidence. It’s odd too, because usually I get people saying I remind them of that character. It’s not that I am trying to act like him. I just am and the feeling is so good, I consider the volume is turned up.
So figure out what identity you resonate with, or a song that motivates you, and begin to adopt the feeling of turning up your personal volume.
