What is the best Marketing Strategy Ever, in only 7 steps?  According to The book Crush It, it is as follows…

1. Buy a domain Name
2. Get a Wordpress Blog
3. Use a Template that works for you
4. Create a Fanpage on Facebook
5. Get a Twitter Account
6. Sign up for Distribution Center of your Content
7. Start Pumping it out…

Simple huh?  Easier said than done.  Most people I have been working with don’t have any idea what they would create as far as content. Let alone how they would go about doing it. Whether to use blog, video, podcasting…

I usually suggest that people go find out what other people related to their topic are doing.  If you don’t know, find 5 different sites that you like and then model them.

I did this once for a friend and used a simple Word doc., entered “frames”  filled them in with sample content and had them send it off to their designer.  The designer was floored, they were able to get it right the first time and deliver it in 2 days.

Back to your marketing strategy, just follow the leader.  When you find what you like, chances are, your followers will like it too. In the next post I will show you how to create fast content to gather followers.
